I’m an independent scholar, freelance art critic, and trained digital librarian who moves fluidly between rigorous research and creative production. I hold an MA in Asian Studies from the University of Texas at Austin (2003), where I began my deep‑dive into post‑war Japanese avant‑garde performance—a focus that culminated in my thesis Ghosts of Pre‑Modernity: Butoh and the Avant‑Garde.
To translate that expertise into practice, I founded two LLCs:
Moore Metadata – a consulting practice that designs and implements robust metadata frameworks, digitization workflows, and open‑access strategies.
Caffècat Arts & Media – a creative studio dedicated to community‑focused arts projects, digital publishing, and the development of web platforms that amplify under‑represented artistic voices.
My writing appears in journals and online platforms, and I regularly advise on digital‑heritage strategy, metadata standards, and interpretive content. When I’m not consulting or writing, I explore experimental dance, digitize rare ephemera, and champion open‑access cultural heritage.
